Angeline (Angie) N. Lauter, age 97, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Sprenger Health Care Town Center in Avon Lake, Ohio, her residence of the last three years. She was born on January 14, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Thomas and Rose Shkraduk (nee Mazur). Angie is survived by her daughters, Susan and Judith; siblings, Olga, Tom, and Sonya; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 14 great great grandchildren; and dear roommate and friend, Emily Siegert. She is preceded in death by children, Nancy and Bobby; and siblings, Dorothy, Irene, and Edward. Angie grew up in Hamtramck, Michigan, and worked at Michigan Bell as a switchboard operator until she later moved to the Cleveland, Ohio, area, where she worked at Ohio Bell until her retirement. She also worked at several neighborhood taverns throughout her life where she made many lifelong friends. She enjoyed hosting family get togethers, cooking and cleaning, trips to the casino, horror movies, and crime TV shows. At Angie’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
